How to shorten your Birkenstock straps nice and tidily

Take time to get them fitting properly and add more holes if you have narrow feet or the straps have stretched. Its easier to cut more off later then join it back on. With that in mind consider what looks best poking past the buckle. On normal 30mm buckles 25-30mm is a good place to start. Then mark 1-2mm towards the tip, as you are going to cut your pen line off.
Cut with sharp scissors or craft knife.
