Discord Has a REALLY Big Problem...

Discord has been facing a big problem with scams for years now, but now there are tons of "impersonator" scams, involving custom scripts allowing users to DM everyone inside a server in seconds with simply your server ID. Have any of you ran into people trying to impersonate you and scam your community?

As a server owner myself I never had this issue however thank for letting me know My Moderators/Admin will be on high alert for these scammer.

I think disabling DM message through the server settings wouldn't fix the problem full since they can still send out friend requests. Adding to that I'm also pretty sure that Discord won't add a way to block DM through the server settings.

The bot detection why would make more sense and is actually pretty easy to make, I'm even surprised that non of security bots has it that I know at least.

I get these kinds of messages at least once a week from all over discord. I had to disable all DM's from everyone but friends. It's insane

Has anyone found a solution for this? I have a serious issue in my server. We have multiple members scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars. I want to get this fixed ASAP but don't know what to do. Is there a bot or any adjustments that can be done? Thank you!

Why can't usernames be unique where duplicates are not allowed? The login has an IP. Also IPs from VPNs are registered to that VPN service so it still can be traced from the login timestamp.
