And then maybe these language companies could offer tests online to check for understanding that’s offered online as well after some time.

“It can be your friend”… I don’t know if encouraging kids to see robots as a type of person that can be their friend is a good idea. It will create an unhealthy level of attachment to an inanimate object that can only follow instructions and never reciprocate real emotions. Parent’s are going love it initially, but kids are going to be attached to robots even more than they are attached to games. Good luck trying to take their robot “friend” away from them.
