Thanks Mr. Steve, i activated a software using a key method and instructions that asked me to put some address in a host file. It did not explain how. 2:39 i didn't know that. in fact i entered my address using # so that is why the software wasn't properly registered earlier.

Hi Steve, there are companies that still uses host file and they also have DNS. Is that because of how a client NATTing is setup? Thanks!

Isn't this strange that ping uses the hosts file but the nslookup doesn't.
