Most of the women withdrew from this comp, in protest- THEY are the ones who should be held up a celebrated, here. Trans activsts WILL go after these women, and their emoloyers, landlords, etc should know that more of the public stand WITH these women, than oppose them.

Hopefully they inspire MORE women, across ALL sports, to do this if a man is allowed into their competition, in future...

(I think this is the first competition, where women have done this... which is why they need as much public support as possible..)

The MOST aggravating part of this is the CPU (powerlifting fed in Canada) is a DRUG TESTED/NATURAL federation.
If you want to compete against women, then I believe you should meet ALL the same standards & scrutiny they receive, including having below the testosterone max ratio. Trans women can have practically twice the amount of the top range women can have to compete.

As a woman, I have a lot of compassion for people who experienced trauma and/ or have mental health issues. It would naturally be in my nature to create a safe and welcoming space for people who feel ostracized by society. Unfortunately, us women have bent over backwards to accommodate trans women in the name of inclusivity, coming from a place of love and we didn’t fully realize the consequences accepting them as part of our community would have on biological women who feel threatened in their opportunities and safe spaces. I’m sorry we did this to ourselves. 😔

This is such a disgrace for women's sport. The governing bodies should be ashamed as they are destroying women's weight lifting as a sport. This guy is a failed male weight lifter who went over to compete in the women's class as he knew his physical and strength advantages would destroy the female competition. I would suggest female competitors stop competing until this issue is addressed and men are stopped from competing in women's sports. Any records this guy won should be erased due to the fact he is a man. Bring back fairness to women's sports.
