US army pamphlets on cbrn and gas mask drills are technically public available unclassified and unconfidential. Remember you have 9 seconds, DONT BREATH in or out when gas is called. Immediately remove your ach, hold it between your knees
Remove mask from bag (mesh should be folded over the goggles to easily fold over head) fit to face, pull mesh over head and immediately tighten two bottom straps (the tops are fitted once and kept tight) immediately place palm on outlet and purge by blowing out all the air in your lungs, then seal the inlet on your filter and breathe in creating a vacuum seal in your mask, requip your ach and prepare to leave quickly. This all needs to happen in 9 seconds of a callout. Practice and preparation will keep you alive incase of a chemical attack.

The mask is called OM-90 from CZ army, MIRA sells them with a rediclous price tag and made up names to scam their costomers.

I worked at a Lead Smelter for 7 years and had to wear a full face respirator the whole time to keep from breathing in lead and chemical dust when working out in the plant. I got tired of the BS at the job and quit and I'm glad. I don't have to wear that respirator ever again too

Top straps should be tight and fitted to your head and then keep the bottom straps loose until you put it back on

After some time on the local fire department, I can say that the best way is to put the straps in front of the visor. Use one hand to put the mask in place. With the other, pull the netting behind your head. Then pull the straps snuggly and check if you’ve got a good seal.

Also, some folks say it’s alright to have facial hair with a mask; it is not. That breaks the seal. Even if it’s only a little, it’s still not as good as could be

Tip from a firefighter: leave the top two straps tight and the bottom two straps loose. When you put it on, all you’ll have to tighten is the bottom two, and maybe a courtesy tug on the top two.

Great video, you’ll probably want to take the black plastic piece out of the mask. It’s for keeping the mask’s shape while storing lol. Took me a few times wearing it to figure it out myself.

When using this with airsoft, is the mask (specifically the eye portion) impact rated for cqb airsoft ~1.5J, and any damage to the eye pieces after a few hits from bbs? I have a CM-8M and saw they are rated for EN 168 impact protection but was having trouble accessing the standard.

Blowing outwards lightly while blocking exit valve should not let out air fast. Thats one thing to test for too.
Also I recommend for people not so experienced with NBC masks and compareable in general, do not tighten the straps too much. When you exert yourself and actually do some life endagering work, the straps will relatively quickly push on your head and start making you dizzy.

Can’t believe mira “safety” is selling an obsolete CZ gas mask from the 90s for around 2-3 times the price. Like for that price I can get an m50 mask that is way better and with a filter if I’m lucky. Plus you could get a cheap Israeli civilian gas mask for around 30-45 dollars and ABEK or CBRN filters for 20-30 dollars

hey quick fyi, Mira is a pretty scummy company when it comes to the marketing. These are not "high quality top of the line" masks or whatever else mira calls them. They are surplus czech masks that mira re sells for over 3 times the original price. And they buy off all the guntoobers. Mira sucks

You can have a beard and have a good seal it might get annoying at first but aslong as you have more air coming in the filter the airs gonna go the path of least resistance wich is the filter
