People are commenting as though they were there and know what happened. The reality, is we have Woodward, a respected and generally reliable commentator who says certain things happened and were said. But then we have an unprecedented number of also generally respected and reliable senior people, who were also there, and insist things did not happen the way he describes, and also that statements he attributes to certain people, weren't in fact said by them. It's a conundrum. I don't know the answer, nor do any commentators.
