Trump wasn't dumb enough to think that the tests were resulting in COVID. His point was that testing resulted in documented cases and it was making him look bad with high case counts. What he failed to realize was that the testing was needed so people could be treated and know they needed to isolate to prevent further cases. For him the image of his response to COVID was more important than the nation's health.

I worked at a covid testing center both in the hospital and outside car lines. At the most that I remember in one day, nearly 1000 cars 🚗 drove up to us. People asked me so so many questions that really wasn't in my field of expertise. I saw fear in these faces. People weren't allowed to come back to work 😒 for weeks until their results came back. No ..we are FAR better now than 4 years ago. All we gotta do is put the nail in Donnys coffin and vote him out of politics. He mishandled then fumbled it and refused accountability. I don't want a child running America. We're less than 30 days till election and 45 STILL has no policy. Let that sink in.

I am a nurse and worked through the whole pandemic. Because of other health problems, I was at high risk for complications of COVID, but still was needed to work every day. I wrote my durable power of attorney and my will because things looked so bleak. By the end of the pandemic, we were so short staffed that we still had to work if we were sick (with COVID) as long as we did not have a fever or chest pain. It did not have to get that bad. Any time anyone asks about if we are better off than 4 years ago, I say REFRIGERATOR MORGUE TRUCKS!!!

I've been a data analyst for 15 years, and the idea that "If we stop testing we'll stop having new cases" makes me so viscerally angry. If anyone in my field ever said that they would be fired immediately and may even be arrested depending on the subject matter. Manipulating data, even if it's just by ignoring data collection, is absolutely baffling.
