‘Instant karma’: Robert De Niro stripped of leadership award after Trump outburst

Actor Robert De Niro has reportedly been stripped of a leadership award following his outburst about Donald Trump outside a Manhattan courtroom.

A few days before the verdict, De Niro claimed people could “kiss freedoms goodbye” if the former president wins the upcoming election.

The actor was to be awarded the 2024 Service of Leadership Award at the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation’s Celebration of Service to America Awards.

According to The Huffington Post, his invitation to the ceremony has now been rescinded.
