I think its gunny that lucas hates the empire strikes back, because it is the one that is most widely regarded as the best by the fanbase. Shows the enormous ego of some directors and producers.

18:09 The pirple lightsaber also has a story on it. Samuel asked George Lucas if he can have a purple lightsaber which Lucas agreed, it is also fitting for Master Windu as the lightsaber form he created uses both the light (blue) and the dark (red) side of the force which turns into purple.
