Interestingly before release, they changed the location so that the Death Star 2 actually did land on the Forest Moon of Endor, in the region of the Dragon's Spine mountain range and the grasslands of the Dragon's Pelt, which were featured in the two live action Ewok movies. That was an Easter egg. A painting of this area of the Forest Moon of Endor hangs in a room of the Skywalker Ranch, and the scenery from Ride of Skywalker and the old Ewok films are identical. The waters around the DS2 chunks were raging due to the insane incoming tidal rush caused by the gravitational pull of the gas giant of Endor, which is why Rey was told to wait for two days before trying to get inside that fragment of the DS2, which was a nice added detail. Apparently there was a lot of flak before the film's release as to how the DS2 chunks orbiting the Forest Moon magically transported to a different moon, so that's what prompted the change in location and change of scenery for the final version of Rise of Skywalker..

I was dragged along to see this film by my parents who wanted to see it for a second time in cinemas as they loved it so much. This is the second Star Wars film I've seen, (first being The Force Awakens) and I have to say I really enjoyed it! I consider this film way better than The Force Awakens.
