I think the sweetest and most captivating part of Christina’s voice is her quiet falsetto. She does that really well.

She’s correct about there being a middle part. That is actually called the mix. It’s a combination or mix of your belt and head voice/falsetto. Many people find it hard to develop this part of their voice. I actually love singing in my mix and find it difficult to fully belt most of the time. Also, quick fact, Whitney Houston sang a lot of her “belts” in the mix area of her voice. That’s why it seems so effortless. She’s not fully belting. She adds part of her mix into it. I honestly find that so intriguing and I’m thankful to my vocal coach who helped me to recognize different tones in singers.

I’m a voice teacher. She’s talking about the passagio or vocal passage I think. It’s basically a “hole in your voice where the head voice and chest voice may not connect.” You typically train to mix the 2 in order to create a more flexible range and balanced sound
