I served with Schuler. He was a lieutenant last I saw him. He's a bad ass Marine and very humble.

British Solider here, served in Helmand on Op Herrick.
Respect to all of my American Brothers and I hope if you are suffering you find peace and a place for your mind to rest. There is always a way through the darkness and you have the strength to succeed.

I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1968 and retired in 1995 and to this day my dedication to the Marine Corps and love for my fellow Marines overwhelms me. Oorah.

I was a Marine (70-74 and thank the LORD my GOD, I survived Nam) and my oldest son was a Marine sniper. He and his Humvee crew, escorting a convoy, were blown up in an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) which eaned him the Silver Star for getting his troops our of the bomb crater and to safety. His 3rd tour in 2005 however, oustide of Bagdad, the same thing happened but with an estimated 700-800 lbs of explosives, vaporizing the Humvee and all four Marines in it. Semper Fi, Son.

True heros! I retired from the Navy & I lost 37 shipmates in the Middle East. PTSD has taken a toll on me & my family. The Marine who carried all the wounded, risking his own life should have received the CMH.

Badass doesnt quite capture this mans mindset. I always liked to think that if things really went bad i would step up and save my boys. I thank god everday im still here and though i have my problems and broken body i still have my life and my family. Thank god for giving us such amazing men to fight the evil so we can sleep peacefully, have freedom and have good lives.

Their selfless actions saved the remainder of K-Bar 7 that evening. The best part of the story is they were both H&S company Marines. I have told this story to the same company as their company 1stSgt many times while conducting heavy machine gun training.
Love both of my brothers and extremely proud of them to date!

These guy's are the epitome of the United States Military, and the sorrow and glory that entails the job these Hero's have participated in. I was never in a war zone. i can't imagine the stress, the fear of battle. I so appreciate the job and sacrifice these soldiers have endured for their country and fellow soldier's. THANK YOU GENTLEMEN!!
