Hahaha this is so accurate. I got to mebane at 10 am & it was absolutely crazy. We only made it to 2 stores, but finally got full credit at Chattanooga!

That sounds like an absolute awesome trip! I love books, and if a book store around here did something like that, I would be doing what you did.

Haha, I see our van parked as you are leaving! We stayed in Sevierville at the Wilderness at the Smokies waterpark hotel the day before. We got to our hotel in Burlington and heard the same as you that so many people were there, and that made us want to get there much earlier than we originally planned. We ended up getting in line at the Mebane store at 6:50am without any traffic, really... and were thankfully just ahead of the bell curve of people and lines the whole way. We waited about an hour at Mebane, starting at the end of the line wrapped only 1 time around the building. Waited maybe 30 min at Winston Salem, a little more than an hour at Knoxville. We were pulling out of the parking lot at Knoxville a firetruck was pulling in. Got to Chattanooga, and there was no line at all, but as we were leaving there, a small line had started forming up. Finally in Nashville we waited maybe 15 min. Wrapped the day up right at 6pm (1.5hrs earlier than my original planning estimate!), and then went shopping in Nashville, before heading home just south of Nashville. The whole experience was so much fun, but from what we heard, if we had taken 20-30 minutes longer to get to Mebane, we might have gotten stuck in Knoxville, and had to have waited many more hours throughout the trip, maybe not even finishing it!

I think I talked to you in Mebane standing in line. Was running on an Hr of sleep the night before & was in the stage of delirious when I'd finally got to Store #5, Mebane on my trip

I can't think of a more wholesome video. I sure wish we had something even close to those large used book stores down here in Florida.

we Arrived at mebane at 8 am and the line was already wrapped around the building and looped up in the parking lot. We waited for 3 hours in the hot sun. And they ran out of passports within the hour and started putting stamps on what seemed to be whatever they could find. We left straight for Knoxville and didn't even get to get off the interstate it was so backed up. We then went to directly to chattanooga and were in line for two more hours! They gave us all $800 thank god but yesterday was a nightmare.

You can thank myself and Gentleman Jim’s for Warren Zevon. You’re welcome.

Great video, my friend. Ash and I were laughing hysterically.

We got to Mebane at 8! Or, we got to the exit at 8 😂 I fully did not expect such a turnout! We didnt leave Mebane until 11:30, it was miserable! Finally made it back home in Nashville around 12:30am!

Store has been in business 50 years and still struggles with logistics. Sending everyone to all 5 stores in one day, of course the MIDDLE one is going to shut down MIDDAY when people from both directions hit it at the same time.

I’m so jeallouuuussss. We got stuck in the horde T_T trust me, getting double stamps weren’t worth the line. We would have much preferred to drive merrily from store to store. Good job getting started early

Even though you went to all 5 stores you were smarter and better off because you started so early. If it wasn't for central time we would never made it to Nashville
