My guess why there’s so many Rets is because their other two specs aren’t PvP viable, so the entire class population gets funneled into one spec, vs other classes that are split over several specs.

Classes that are being played more in solo shuffle at a higher level speaks to how good the class is overall, how easy it is to play, and how forgiving it is for either your mistakes or the mistakes of others. It’s not surprising that ret is on top if the classes that outperform it are harder or don’t synergize as well. Also for priests.. normally there is a group of people who like to play priest as a healer and will move to the the strongest spec. People are more likely to just play another class than the underperforming priest spec even if it is still a good spec.

It is my personal opinion that blizzard made the ret rework so well that people continue to play it for fun rather than because it is strong. When you have enough people playing the class, there will be some that rise to the top.

The prob with sub rogue is the availability of its burst, packed with shadowy duel being broken by design.

I've watched the cups saturday n sunday, and if u pay attention to it, secret technique actual cooldown is 20 seconds, meaning they have it for every go, with the cooldown reduction mechanic, shaving 6 seconds off the cd back to back to back.

Imagine if other classes had 20 sec cd on their deadliest CD. That'd be silly wouldn't it?

This is sad as a ret main since tbc due to not liking voice chat I stopped waiting for those long solo queues. Now I heal solo as disc and preserve but im getting queued with higher raiting dps. The margin is too wide, sometimes by 400 raiting.

Main frost dk, feels like ret pala before the rework, outside of burst dmg it feels weak. Tried UH but if the pet dies you do 0 dmg. Love being punished for playing a class I actually like

nahj has 4-5 rogues and kalvish has 4 out of those 25 top sub rogues lol. Rogues are definitely excellent and i think the overall balance is great now, they should buff the underperforming classes and hopefully with the mmr changes we are in for a great season!

Not surprised that mist is leagues ahead of other healers in solo. I hit 2600 on ww last season and now stuck 1900. I jumped onto mist with little experience and straight up to 2100 lol

There are more warriors (Arms+Fury) in Solo Shuffle than Ret.

im a paladiin main i only pvp to grap my reward then im out right, and with holy being so bad atm i just que solos as ret and i think most other paladin players havve done the same so ofc ret with have higher numbers since the other spec isnt as good. so like the whole class is kinda a Ret right? thayt my take on it atleast since ret dosnt seem overpowered anymore ofc i could be wrong since i dont play much but when i do ret seems kinda meh when facing them on alts

At least DKs made it on the list. Outlaw doesn't have a single player above 2100 except for a few in EU solo shuffle (and not in 2s/3s).
