I tried to buy a Rolex and teh AD told me "It would help if I bought other things from the Jeweler and to check in from time to time." I was like, I need to check in with you to spend 7K?? I'm not buying anything else and you call me when it's in. I said it in a nice goofy tone but I meant it. Three week later I got the call and I eventually decided to not buy the OP 41. This is the way, show some self respect and at least stand up to this nonsense.

Awesome list Teddy. I've had many watches in my collection over the years from AP, Patek, and Rolex, but my favorite is the Datejust I received for college graduation 50 years ago. It still kicks ass today.

If you want a speedy, go for the ones made between 1996 and 2019. Trust me. 1861 is a superb movement, who needs coaxial honestly. The dial is better looking in charcoal and bigger number of millisecond markings on dial, which looks nicer. The lack of step is just cleaner. I loved my old one, sold for financial reasons and I'm saving for another one

Seiko SBDB015 or SBDB005. Cheapest Spring Drive you can get and also modeled after the rare/expensive Seiko Spacewalk. Full titanium, GMT hand, offset lugs so it sits on your wrist nicely. It's 46mm but it tapers up to the face so edge to edge of the bezel is 43mm and fits well without looking as big as you think it might.

Teddy, I think one of your next reviews should be on the Credor Kyon GCLX997 and GCLX999. These watches both have the white porcelain dials like the Eichi III, however they both are just under $10, 000. They are both the best watches under $10, 000 on the planet.
