Okay but why did EVERY animated kids show feature someone getting stuck in quicksand? They had me thinking that quicksand would be a major problem in my life and every other day I'd be fighting for my life in it

As a swimmer when I saw that man start doing backstroke but his arms moving the wrong way killed me-

The real way to escape quick sand: move one of your legs in a circular motion loosening it and brining it higher then do the same to the other leg until you can pull them out. DO NOT LAY IN THE SAND! You will most likely suffocate after your upper body sinks. (It will sink) It harder to free your upper body from quick sand because we use our lower body’s more often.

Why is it that whenever u have to escape dangerous situations u have to do exactly the opposite of what ur instant reaction may be,

For instance: instead of trying to keep a float on quicksand, just put ur head back and back peddle!
