How to Download All Songs in Apple Music Library at Once - Easy Tutorial (2023)

In this video, I am showing you how to download all your songs automatically from your Apple Music Library - literally in one click - PROMISED :) Unfortunately, this feature is not available by default in the Apple Music app. This means you will need to perform some extra actions to be able to do that. But don’t worry I have a very easy and super fast solution how to help you and download all your music tracks.

Step 1. Open the Apple Music app on your Mac and go to File - New - Smart Playlist

Step 2. Set up your smart playlist: check - match all of the following rules
Rule Number 1 Media Kind is Music
Rule Number 2 Cloud Status is not Matched

Do not check the «limit to 25 items » option because otherwise, the smart playlist won’t include all your songs.

Check the Live Updating option: this will automatically update your smart playlist every time you will be adding new items to your library.

Click ok and give your smart playlist a name - for example: ALL MUSIC

Step 3. Now you can go to your Apple Music app on your iPhone and open the playlist section. There, you will be able to find your new smart playlist named in my case: ALL MUSIC

Just press on the little download button and all music inside this smart playlist will be automatically downloaded to your iPhone. Once the downloading process will be finished you will be able to listen to your music offline without an internet connection.

Thanks, good video. I had to do one extra step which was CTRL A (select all songs) in the Songs list and drag them across into the Playlist title - the rules didn't seem to pick them up.

I spent 2 hours trying to figure this out before finding YOU. Apple should warn that setting automatic downloads ON only affects new music, not existing songs. Also, FYI, 9 out of 10 YouTube videos do not actually do what the title suggests (so frustrating). Congratulations on doing exactly what you advertise.

question i have is. do you need to have subscribe to apple music or this works without it? when i had apple music subscription this was working perfectly, since I have cancel my subscription is not working anymore

I think this can be done with any playlist that you own without making a smart playlist.
