WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
We’re cooking up a storm, aiming to master both the classics and subscriber-suggested favorites. Here’s the lineup of Thanksgiving essentials we’re tackling:
🍗 Roast Turkey – The star of the show! Will it come out golden, juicy, and delicious? Or will it fall victim to rookie mistakes?
🍁 Turkey Gravy – Because every turkey needs its perfect partner. Can we get it silky smooth or will we end up with lumps galore?
🧀 Mac and Cheese – A creamy, cheesy comfort food classic. Can we get that gooey perfection that Americans love?
🥔 Mashed Potatoes – Will we nail that dreamy, fluffy texture? Or end up with a gloopy mess?
🍠 Sweet Potato Casserole – Topped with marshmallows, this Southern staple has us intrigued (and slightly confused!).
🌽 Cornbread and Cornbread Stuffing – Two different takes on a Thanksgiving must-have. Can we master this savory-sweet delight?
🥬 Green Bean Casserole – A side dish that divides opinion, but can we make it a crowd-pleaser?
🥧 Pumpkin Pie – Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without dessert. Can we successfully bake this iconic American treat?

If you’re a fan of food adventures, travel-inspired taste tests, and hilarious cultural commentary, you’re in the right place. Grab a snack, hit that play button, and let’s dig in!

I give them credit for trying to make a difficult meal that perhaps isnt in their wheelhouse. I grew up with Thanksgiving as a meal where everything was made from scratch. A true Thanksgiving meal takes days to prepare.

We stopped using marshmallows 30+ years ago. We now make a brown sugar pecan crumble top.

Gotta admit: that was a quality dinner made there. Looked absolutely orthodox Thanksgiving.

A tip for lots of leftovers. Separate the dish into smaller portions (like single or double portions for couples) and freeze all them. That way you only have to thaw what you need for the current meal instead of the whole dish. You can eat leftovers for a month depending on how much you have left.

Damn, you guys just nailed a traditional meal that I've been eating for almost 60 years.
I absolutely love the passion and dynamic play from the two of you.
Keep up the amazing content and never forget the scrapple!

I'm in the south and we make cornbread dressing instead of stuffing but never use Jiffy because it is considered sweet cornbread muffins. Great job and love the video

You must remember, there are only half the amount of calories in food during Thanksgiving!

You may never see this comment, but in case you do... Pumpkin pie is traditionally eaten with whipped cream. HOWEVER (and this is big), you can have pumpkin pie and almost every other type of pie with ice cream. I never see any reaction/tourist channels showing pie with some vanilla ice cream, and it's absolutely a staple to have desserts like pies and cakes with ice cream, with some exceptions. That said, almost any dessert can be paired with ice cream, keep that in mind ;)

Our stuffing has always been.. pound of chopped bacon and a pound of browned Italian sausage crumbled. Using the fat and a stick of butter, sweat half pound celery, couple of onions chopped. Cubed dried bread, 3-4 eggs, chicken stock. Salt, pepper, snd whatever other seasoning.

Having been born in the U.S., Thanksgiving is just another holiday, my favorite holiday because the only requirement is eating way too much, unless of course you are the cook, then it is a huge undertaking. I have been amused by all the people from other countries who have had videos of them trying or making this meal or even being amazed by watching others make and eat it. This is so American in that it is too much food, but you are definitely going to eat some of everything. So far, everyone has loved the spread so I guess we are doing something right with this holiday. Thank you for your reaction to the meal, it was fun to watch you both. Save those rolls to make some sandwiches over the next couple of days. Everything can be frozen so you don't have to eat all the leftovers all at once if you don't want to.

My mom used to put garlic cloves in the butter masked potatoes. It took it to a whole new level.

I am in central Illinois, which is the heart of the Midwest in America, and I had Turkey Breast, mashed potatoes and Turkey gravy, hot rolls, and olives, I love to eat olives with my Turkey. And I had a pie, a Lemon Meringue Pie.

I got a 7 lb. Turkey Breast at Kroger for $19.00, and all the other stuff was about $10.00 more, so I only spent about $29.00. The Turkey lasted me about 4 days, I have enough for one more sandwich that I will eat later tonight.

One cool thing that my family makes with those little boxes of Jiffy Mix is what my family calls "Corn Dish" but I call Corn Cake or Corn Souffle. And its one of my favorite dishes for holidays and family events! It's a different take on typical sweet corn bread - a happy medium between fluffy and creamy, moist and sweet but with a slight tartness. It gets devoured! It's usually the first thing gone.

Recipe:
-1 little box of Jiffy Mix
-1 can of Sweet Corn (or creamed corn with a few splashes of water.)
-1 stick of butter (MELTED)
-8 oz of Sour Cream
-deep baking dish of choice, we usually use a round 11x9 cake pan

-Preheat oven to 375F, we also take this opportunity to melt the butter simply by sticking it into the baking dish and letting it melt in the oven while it preheats. But keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn!
-Once the butter has melted, take it out and then combine all the other ingredients right into the baking dish, including the water from the canned corn! If you use creamed corn, add a little bit of water, maybe a tablespoon or two to make sure it gets enough moisture! Mix well and then smooth it out so its even.
-Pop it into the oven for 45mins to an hour or until golden brown.
-Let sit for a good 10 minutes or so to cool and finish setting up.

I am from Alabama the south part of The USA. Basically the reason for a sweet potato casserole is after you finish making a sweet pie you usually have some of the mix left over enough to make the casserole. Especially if you're cooking for a big family.

"Certain parts of the US have cornbread on the table". I think cornbread is a staple all over the US. At least I've seen it on the table in several different places west coast and east.

"We'll be eating this for the next six days". If you don't invite guests, it can be quite a bit of food, but it's all part of the experience. The leftovers are the best part! There's nothing like a good turkey sandwich.
