I wash my shoes in the bathroom, my mom would kill me if I washed it in her sink

I have a Laundry Room with a deep sink, that we call tank, specially designed to wash clothing and shoes. It’s the place where the washing machine is placed, and all the cleaning products and appliances are stored. Recently I found out it’s not common in most countries.
We don’t wash anything that is not food related in the kitchen sink.

Jordan’s and water don’t mix. They end up getting warped and the material starts to separate. I have 6 pair. I use a magic eraser for mine, and a dry rag to finish. I love her cleaning videos but Jordan’s are very delicate. They wrinkle and bubble if you’re not careful.

Marseille soap is also amazing for this. I clean all my shoes with it and an old toothbrush (for smaller parts or details that need softer bristles) or a nail brush for harder places.

And I rinse the inside of the shoe with super Hot water and let it soak. Helps with the stains from socks and smell too.

"Bleche Wite" for white walls on tires will turn the bottoms of the shoes from yellow back to white

Definitely would NOT wash trainers like this if you’re concerned for the material, especially Jordans!!

Try Mr.Clean Magic Eraser. Those work great.

You could also apply hidrogen peroxide 3% to the rubber soles, cover with plastic film and let under the sun for some hours. This will remove the yellowish color from the soles!

you can soak them, use washing machine or do it by hand, wash with regular soap or any chemicals for laundry

the one thing here that you have to (!!) remember is only wash your shoes in COLD WATER bc even just warm (let alone hot) water can melt the glue and simply ruin the structure of the material so your shoes will quite literally fall apart

btw you can also wash handbags like that

Shoes go in the washing machine for me, wash as on a lower speed setting but still use detergent and fabric softener and just open them out to naturally
