If you guys are talking about who's first, Blackberry is actually the first to try that kind of gesture.

iOS : swiping recent app with multitouch
Android : clear all button

There's a clear all button for recent apps in Android ☝🏾

Nobody used it, but the BlackBerry 10 OS did all of this, and well, years ago.

iPhone still has better animations, and yes, Google copied them.

To be honest, both of them copied gestures from Blackberry os10, plus notification bars!

If Android fans love this tiny hint of what iOS can do, they’ll love the iPhone in general 😉 but their hatred towards Apple is so strong they refuse to admit it.

I have a Pixel 3 and I've been using the gesture based system for so long now. I love it!!! I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to anything different

I currently use a XS Max (S9+ being my last android) and gestures on iOS are a lot better. However, that’s not to say gestures on android are bad. I honestly appreciate both operating systems, each are unique and convenient on their own, but after rooting and customizing over years, I’m really appreciating the simplicity that iOS is bringing me now.

Ps: Dat wallpaper on the XS Max 🥰 Would appreciate if you share it.

OnePlus and Xiaomi already had some of the best gestures on Android

I prefer Samsung's alternative gestures, which is a three guesture bars at the bottom. Each one works as one of the classic android buttons, home, back, and open apps. I like that the back button is at the bottom where it doesn't mess with android side bars. I wish it was a little smoother, but one ui v2 might fix it

You can press "close all" on android 10 to close all recent apps instead of swipe 1 by 1.

Apple copied Googles notification bar and also widgets. Copying is happening both ways here. It’s not just Google.

I like the iPhone gestures. I was really excited about iOS 12 adding the gestures to all iPad models. After iOS 12 came out, the only times I use the home button on my iPad is for waking the device, Touch ID and taking screenshots. I also have an iPhone 11 and I really like the gestures. I also enjoy the trackpad gestures on the Apple trackpads and the Magic Mouse.

I love when they are somewhat similar to each other making switching from one OS to another less painful. That’s the whole.

It’s amazing that after two years, people still haven’t figured out that you don’t have to wait for the multitasking menu to show up, or do any weird gestures like swiping from the corner in 45 angle or swiping up then right.

Instead you can simply swipe up, lift your finger up from the screen and the multitasking screen appears immediately.

I think both IOS and android is getting more and more alike. I have had the option to choose gestures on my last three android devices but has stuck with the three bortom buttons. Maybe it's time to give the gestures a real chance. As android user I can always go back to the buttons if I want to.

I switched recently to iPhone. I love the gestures and I believe it should’ve always been like this. It feels natural
