Literally my favorite song that Prince ever wrote and each time I hear it, I cry because it speaks of merely wanting to love someone so deeply, but they are fighting against it. To hear Eddie sing this brought buckets of tears because Eddie is my Rock God and he saved a seventeen girl's life once when she was cutting herself in her closet barricaded. She was losing consciousness when "black" came on and she opened her eyes and began to bang on the wall screaming on the inside for help. I'll be 49 this year. Thank you Eddie. Just, thank you.

I was lucky enough to see Prince live on His when doves cry tour. I still have my concert shirt lol. So much nostalgia with that song and time period. Prince would be humbled by this rendention. Thanks for a walk down memory lane. The 80s still rock!
