I mostly agree except for Unearth. Unearth minions take 0 spirit, so they don't get in the way of every other minion you have in your build. They are all about map clear. They body block so keep mobs away 'free from spirit CC' . Slot them with 'Minion Instability' and 'Infernal Legion' and you can get screen wide clear. The higher the density of mobs on the map the stronger they get. They are nott intended for Boss kills, but you can focus on casting other spells there. For what they are intended, they are excellent!

Minions getting defeated by narrow hallways makes them unplayable IMO. That’s just so annoying and needs to be fixed.

Keeping 10 empowered zombies up at all times is actually pretty trivial, at least for my build. There's a dex buff Lingering Illusion that leaves a shadow (based on your HP) behind when you roll. If it gets killed, you get 1-2 power charge. I have increased duration nodes on the tree. I have CI, so the shadows have 1 hp and die to literally anything including ground effects. Basically i have unlimited power charges. My zombies last ~48 seconds.

This would all be fantastic if they could either keep up with the player or teleport instead of die when too far away like in POE1. So currently D tier unless your actually struggling in which case S tier. Also very good vs bosses since you dont move very far.

I keep them in my back pocket because the extra DPS/tanks isn't needed for most stuff, but come in really handy for bosses and breaches where you might get overwhelmed.

As a D2R necro enjoyer, I gravitated towards a group of brutes once I saw what the aftershocks could do to a pack. Plus, in D2 fashion, I figured all I needed was one kill to get the corpse explosion ball rolling. I thought it was really solid with 1.5 divs of gear, t13 and lvl 85 before I moved to warrior

Great content as usual Aaron. Interesting tier list. I'm using arsonist and was planning to switch to frost mages soon. Might have to throw a couple snipers back into the lineup!

There are Link skills on the passive tree, however there is no Link skill gem yet.
Once it is out, I want to try the hellhound full dps fire aura with the link build.

Also, there missing many mele-based support gems, which will improve mele minions by alot once out.

I have a lvl 92 ssf empowered zombie/poison reaper build that clears tier 17 with 0 issues. Haven't tried 18 yet but I don't expect any issues. I get all the charges I need with profane ritual.

Frost Mages are absolutely S tier. IF you go an offensive setup their single target is close to that of Snipers but their clear is substantially faster. For Breach / Ritual it's not even close Frost Mages will out clear Snipers.

Storm Mages - I think should be brought up to A. The high end build Ghazzy is running shows how disgustingly broken they can get with -200 light res but that is an incredibly expensive build to run which I think holds it from being S.

I think they're trying a refresh of minions from POE 1. SRS with the melee splash support was OP for a long time. Zombies were always around, then a golem, add in some specters, an animated guardian, skitterbots, Vaal Summon Skeletons... I'm glad there's something new, and I'm sure it'll be tweaked. I'm interested in how the Druid with minions will be. I'm currently running around with frost mages, after I played through with a warrior. I've only beat first ascendancy, and partway through act 3. Using hypothermia, with Condemn and the support to have chaos damage count for freeze build up. This has helped make it so I can freeze and keep things frozen. Silverfist runs at me, freeze him, and keep him frozen. Warriors and Infernal Hound take him down while frost mages keep freezing him. I just keep putting hypothermia and condemn on him.

also zombs dont use spirit so provide a use while leveling to gain more spirit

Have done many differnt minion build. What has worked the best for me currently is arsonist/reaver. Reaver are fire infused been doing a ton of damage.

Good list but I would put raging spirit B tier and frost mage S tier with snipers.

I have about 100hrs on my Witch and I do agree with the tier list. Snipers are just so good! I am running 10 of them with 3 Reavers, 1 Storm Mage and 2 clerics. Would be 1 Cleric if it meant getting another Sniper.

Clearing T15 maps very well. Not incredibly fast, but no troubles, no chance of death and end bosses die in about 7-10sec.

For leveling, I feel Arsonists are S tier due to the fire synergy’s and very budget friendly for campaign/early mapping. But they do fall off compared to the Frostmages and Snipers as you get better gear and really into the endgame.

SRS is another like Arsonists, that are insane until you really dive into endgame where their damage really falls off.

I tried leveling with Frostmages and man it was rough. They really don’t come online until you get greater jewelers. Going to try a Sniper/Firewall leveling build this week and see how it stacks up to straight Arsons.
