Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 9th tier of English football, the Essex Senior League. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 4th tier of women's football. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams...and not forgetting our esports team of Tom and Shawrey, who play at the world's highest level. Ngl the biggest loss would probably be Josh Osude. The fans loved him and he made a big impact every time he came on the pitch. I'll never forget the games when he'd run down the wing, destroy the defender, and then score.

Been watching since the very beginning in the days when it was only Spencer and his mates . Took a break sometime last year because my love for football had died a little because of watching other sports but I will always support Spencer and Hashtag United. I’m pumped for the upcoming season! All the way from Chicago!

In a footballing landscape dominated by 'Mike Ashley's and 'Daniel Levy's it's so refreshing to see a club that are so open, transparent and honest about every aspect of how the club is run.

Honestly love this club. So transparent, they don't have to tell us anything about the decisions they've made. I'm sad to see Samraj and Josh leave the club, but instead of not knowing what happened or how to club feels toward them they've come out and told us. And just like your favorite player leaving your prem team I'm going to follow their careers and hope they succeed.

Good mix of experience and youth, shame to lose Sam Bantick coz he looked like a good finisher but the other strikers have proven they can score goals and I’m sure they can do it at this level. Excited to see JWL lacing up again, honestly my favourite non-league player with the ball at his feet… FA cup team of the year quality no less #️⃣

my perspective on the josh situation is that he needs to play a dozen or so games at a level too high for him so every time he tries to do the same thing he just gets rocked over and over. his speed and athletic ability is undeniable and it works which is why he leans on it so much but at a certain level is will catch up to him so you want him to learn that lesson asap.

Would of loved to have a manager like Devs growing up, seems to genuinely care about his players not just on the football pitch and their football aspirations, but how they conduct themselves as men. Some tough decisions, but sounded like some truths were needed to some of those players. Football is back!
