this is the second time I've heard a NBA player say Jordan was just as strong as LeBron.

That was the second person to speak on Jordan’s strength, Reggie said he’s immovable in the post

Jordan could get wide open shots on less than 2 dribbles.

I've really never seen anything like it since.

Ron artest ain't one just to throw out names... if he says Jordan was the toughest one to guard than he is telling the truth. Robert Horry, a man who guarded MJ in his prime, called MJ one of the strongest dudes out there. Don't hate and don't argue. Just acknowledge that MJ is the GOAT and your faves will never measure up.

If this guy said anything but Jordan, I would have been surprised.

Jordan is in a class all on his own. The Greatest Athlete of All Time. No one can be mentioned with him ever.

*NO EXCUSES FOR LEBRON!* In games 2-5 during the 1993 finals vs league MVP 'Sir' Charles Barkley's led Phoenix Suns, Jordan went completely ballistic in FOUR straight games scoring an insane 182 points [46 points per game] while averaging 47 mins per game. Jordan didn't get tired. He got stronger as the series went on.

Here is that four game average...

*46 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 7.0 apg, 1.0 spg, 1 bpg, .510 fg%, .370 3P%, .700 ft%, .564 ts%, .539 eFG%, 2.8 tovs, 47 mpg*

*And that was in a slow paced era, in a cluttered congested lane with far less spacing and room to operate, AND vs hand-checking, arm bars, checking in the lane, holding on screens, AND where they could legally mug you. Had he played in this fast paced era with spacing and room to operate up the wazoo with 3-4 three-point shooters everywhere, without hand-checking, arm bars, checking in the lane & holding on screens with all this 'freedom of movement' run wherever you want, Jordan numbers would have been even scarier.*

*42 pnts, 12 rebs, 9 asts, 2 stls, 0 blks, .500 fg%, 1.000 3P%, .800 ft%, .550 ts%, .528 eFG%, 5 tovs, 40 mins [game 2]*

*44 pnts, 9 rebs, 6 asts, 2 stls, 1 blk, .442 fg%, .333 3P%, .500 ft%, .482 ts%, .477 eFG%, 3 tovs, 57 mins [game 3]*

*55 pnts, 8 rebs, 4 asts, 0 stls, 0 blk, .568 fg%, .000 3P%, .722 ft%, .612 ts%, .568 eFG%, 1 tov, 46 mins [game 4]*

*41 pnts, 7 rebs, 7 asts, 0 stls, 2 blk, .552 fg%, .286 3P%, .700 ft%, .614 ts%, .586 eFG%, 2 tovs, 44 mins [game 5]*

In the 1985-86 playoffs vs aruably the greatest team of all time 67-15 HOF Celtics, Jordan went into Super Saiyan mode scoring 131 points [44 points per game in just 3 games], in only his 2nd year in the league at 22 years old, coming off a major career threatening foot injury. This is where Jordan dropped 63 points on the Celtics, in the Boston Garden where they were 40-1 at home [still a record] and where Bird called Jordan, "God disguised as Michael Jordan."

Jordan vs HOF Celtics 1985-86 playoffs average [22 yrs old]..

*44 ppg, 6 rpg, 6 apg, 2 spg, 1 bpg, .505 fg%, .584 ts%, 1.000 3p%, 34/39 .872 ft%, 115 ORtg, 119 DRtg, 39.7 usg%, 45 mpg*

Jordan vs HOF Boston Celtics career Playoffs average..

Jordan: *40 ppg, 7 rpg, 6 apg, 2 spg, 2 bpg, .464 fg%, .500 3p%, .885 ft%, 13.0 fta, 44 mpg*

Bird: *27 ppg, 9 rpg, 8.5 apg, 1.5 spg, 1 bpg, .531 fg%, .462 3p%, .869 ft%, 10.2 fta, 45 mpg*

The proof is in the pudding....stop trying to compare Jordan with other great players. The closest player to Jordan's attributes is Kobe Bryant. PERIOD!

adon

that is correct. Jordan was like, even a team had to contend him when he attacks the rim and players knew he would not pass it but do pumps and clutches to avoid shotblockers. Lebron confuses the paint defenders by passing it out.

The guy who guarded all three speaks his mind. By the way, Jordan was reasonably old when Artest came around. And Artest was a great defender. It is hard to find defenders like him now a days.

People forget how strong MJ was. He got hammered and still got shots to go in. He made a career making 3pts with the fouls. Sometimes he was ridiculous, like when he shot the ball while facing away from the basket after the foul. And the shot was beautiful.

Metta got cooked by Kobe time and time again literally Kobe has flat out embarassed him and shut him up when he tried to talk trash to Kobe the fact that he still picked MJ proves that MJ is the G.O.A.T

Haha and this was Jordan in the later years he was referring to. Shoot he didn’t played against him during his prime man that’s scary

Real talk and Artest never even faced MJ in his prime. MJ was unbelievably strong, long, mentally unstoppable and would break you down in every aspect of the game. GOAT and it isn't close.
