Her telling Korra in S1 that Sokka died and then watching Bumi and Kya playfully picking on Tenzin in S2, probably reminicing on the times she playfully annoyed him and vice versa made me so sad. Katara and Sokka had by far the deepest connection we've seen troughout the show alongside Aang and later on Zuko and Iroh. Like Iroh said, the water tribe is known for it's deep sense of community. Loosing her brother must've been hard for Katara.

The scene where Sokka and Toph consider Katara to be the motherly figure in the group, along with Sokka stating Katara been taking the role of their mother since she was young and look after him to the point he couldnt remember his own mother face but Katara face is just touching
