I finally figured out why i hate Elden ring videos. The fucking proper nouns. You are dumping information into my head I don't want which is irrelevant to making me interested in the content.

I think most people while playing forget that Ranni caused all this. Its easy to dissociate the story from her in the game but she is the reason everything after came to pass

There's also a possibility that she wept for Godwyn not for his death, but rather the knowledge he had to die for the Golden Order to fall. We know she betrayed Maliketh, but we never see how, but the fact the black knives were somehow able to steal fragments of the Death-infused sword is most likely the indication. Another thing we know is that she set all of her children to be ambitious, to be what they want to become, or die as nothing.

Marika probably had the longest plan to shatter the Golden Order, and have it started with Ranni, who above all wanted to rid herself of the Golden Order's control. The fact Godwyn died probably wasn't random either, as the demi-god looked up to by many and was essentially the perfect son of the Golden Order, who was able to create a strong bond with the ancient dragon, Godwyn was most likely the prime candidate for 3rd Elden Lord. His death made the spot open for others to take, so the war broke out with house Caria likely trying to take over, mount Ghelmir trying to burn it all down, the Haligtree fighting the Redmane for personal reasons because they were not interested in the Golden Order.

I have a theroy about the red spear through her chest. Because it looks blackis redish enough i believe its a spear made from the death rune, and juat like how blaidd (who was given to ranni from the 2 fingers to keep an eye on her) turned on ranni when she betrayed the greater will, i beilve that when she destroyed the elden ring, Maliketh was sent to capture and imprison her, and since she holds the elden rune within her body, he put a spear through to stop the elden ring reforming and her coming back. But when we show up with a minimum of 2 elden shards, its enough for the elden ring to latch on and reform itself, which helps Marika/Radagon escape imprisonment. (Just a theory, but still i believe it holds a little weight😂😅)

Explained the whole story in less than 5 minutes. Thank you 🙏🏼

Very good basic summary of the lore that leads to the start of the game 👍

There’s also speculation that she didn’t like the golden order, helped Ranni orchestrate the murder of Godwyn, and shattered the Elden ring in hopes that Ranni would eventually take her place.

nah she didn't leave godfrey for Radagon she left him for herself💀

I wanna see if there is a different reason for why she shattered the elden ring that we see on the dlc

Ya kinda hits differently when you realize that emperyins are born as 2 different beings, but being exactly the same being at the same time. So basically, she left Godfrey for herself.

Yeah she loved Godwyn so much that she had him killed... There are many clues on the fact that she orchestrated the night of the black knives with Ranni. Also many forget that the night of the black knives happened long before the shattering, so I don't think they're heavily correlated, or at least it wasn't the final reason

it was Radagon who imprisoned her, it’s based on his skewring grab attack that crucifixes us and gets pierced by golden light

Kind of forgot to mention that Marika and Radagon are the same person

Godwyn would have never allowed the Elden Ring to be shattered. He would have fought Merika over it. So he had to die.

Please do a video of the crucial similarities for each connected groups of siblings. Because each group literally reflects eachother in their own way/. Ranni, rykard and rahdan have a crucial similarity in all 3 (I hope I’m not stretching it) but all 3 reject what they’re ranni rejects her body, rykard rejects his families faith, and rahdan rejects what he is as a giant seeking “other worldly” magic😉. Miqella and Malenia (cursed in their own ways as we know). Godwyn, Mohg and Morgot (monster like bodies, Godwyns real self is that fish technically)

By the way, radagon is marika herself, so she basically married herself.

Here’s something I’m confused about. Marika was married to Godfrey, Radagon was married to Rennala. But Marika and Radagon are the same person. Was Marika/Radagon married to both at the same time and then left both? Why make Radagon Elden lord when Marika (who is the same person) has already achieved godhood and had an Elden lord (Godfrey) under her/him? This is so confusing

It's heavily implied she was part or was the instigator of rannis plan

Any mother would be stricken to grief and insanity seeing their Golden Child die an untrue death. Godwyn was extremely loved in the lands between. I really enjoy the golden order idea that fromsoftware and George R R Martin came up with. It adds a lot of depth and questions to the game. As much as people are theorizing Marika killing her own son, I just don’t buy it. Ranni caused a majority of the destruction, she even threatens to have the thoughts of killing the Main character if they didn’t seem to fit the role she needed. From playing the DLC, it seems there were other alternatives than killing Godwyn. I lost my eldest brother and watched my stepmother be driven to the brink of depression because of it. Marika doing what she did doesn’t surprise me.
