I have this solved! I am flying there on Saturday the 18th. I have a insta page an old one for a car I crash a couple years ago called bigbetty1fastv6 I am posting updates. I have no doubt that I have decoded the peralta stones. I have decoded more than a dozen symbols on the stones and they led me to a 50 foot rock face with an entrance using satellite imagery. I tried hiking but the brush was treacherous thorns and thorns and cactus, you cant get there without being an expert horse rider or flying a helicopter which I am doing. I hired H5 helicopters to fly my partner in explorations Dustin Sexton and I to the location! I will be making it known and delivering gold to bob schoose, wayne tuttle, ron feldman, superstitions museum and a few more to show appreciation for all the clues and info that helped me put it together!

Thanks for another fascinating history story. It's too bad the dutchman couldn't have given better directions to Julia.

I have watched this one and the original done by Charlie LeSueur before he passed away. Good information here! Clay in my opinion is the most credible and authoritative person alive on Jacob Waltz the Dutchman. Any good Dutch hunter should know by now that the "board house" (which was near the modern day Quarter Circle U Ranch) is the best place to start search for the Lost Dutchman gold mine. It is said that Jacob would travel to the board house from his mine for supplies from time to time and that he could make it from his mine to the board house and back with day light still left in the day.

So the question is how far could Jacob travel with his horse (or mule) in one day taking inconsideration the terrain near and around the board house and that part of the Superstition Mountains? Answer that question and that should give a good clue as to what part of the Superstitions the mine is located.

Good luck finding it though for there has been 150 years since Jacob Waltz supposedly last visited his mine and closed it up. The mine is located in a dead end canyon on the eastern slope with its entrance near the drainage of said canyon. Years of erosion not to mention a few earth quakes might have completely changed and covered the original location? Yet clues may still remain if one can find the exact canyon...

i have never seen a map with the mine on it . its not on the stones or the profile map or the Gonzales map the mine was located long after those maps were made, it was first found some time in the late 1860's early 1870's most like in the mid 1870's to the late 1870's, i dropped a sinker on a fish line into the pit shaft and its only 14 ft deep ., the Peralta that were working the mine had just found the mine before Waltz took it ...if there was 3 Peralta working the mine and its only 14 ft deep that tells us a lot about the mine ..but it is a hard rock mine ..

Its funny when he talks about Julia being black. He says "well she may have only been mulatto". What are the implications? Good story anyway. Thanks for sharing. Lvya all much. Shalom. D
