This series feels like a fan series in all honesty. Maybe it's because I'm 10years older than I was when I first watched Naruto but this show feels like it's REALLY pandering to kids. Seriously, everything has been sunshine and rainbows. Even the 'dark' parts are just brushed over in the same episode like "Nah it's all good now, the world is a lovely place!" Like come on now, Naruto's first opponent was a guy who slaughtered his own allies and nicknamed 'The Demon of the Mist', Boruto's is a little girl with daddy issues with an overgrown cat.. Is this seriously the same universe?

another time naruto's beliefs were really challenged was during the fight with Obito when he pointed out so many of the shinobi dying at his hand. idk little side note

The real thing we need to talk about is how strong are Kushina's Talk No Jutsu genes? Part of why I liked Boruto the movie was he didn't give these fucking sermons like Naruto does.

Swag I think I hate Talk-no-Justsu just as much, if not more than you do but this actually didn't bother me that much. At the end of the day Sumire is a kid with weak convictions, she wasn't really about that lifestyle.

naruto part 1 first aired in 2002, kids shows back then were much more dark and violent. I wouldnt expect much dark stuff nowa days.

Explain this: If Hamura went to the Moon just after the battle with Kaguya, then who is greatest ancestor of Hyuga clan? Hamura was the only person with the Byakugan at the time and he hadn’t had any children and it's not like he just created the clan from the Moon so... who did it?

Just putting ma thought out there but wasn't there a quote from the anime creator himself before the show got up and running where he said something about how he wants it to be kid friendly at first and then a little bit later on set the bar higher and turn up the grittiness of the show and present the dark aspects that we have come to know from Naruto. Idk but I feel like when we see Boruto grow up a little bit is when we'll see the change because he's young right now and there's the sense from his perspective that nothing bad will happen to you and that you're invincible. Kinda like kids today more or less. So when we see his growth then we may start to see the story develop in its usual pattern as well.
