Folding Saw Selection #shorts

I always carry a Saw in the woods. A small folding Saw is great for crafting items, I started with a Bahco Laplander and it always worked fine. The Silky is a faster Saw but the tradeoff is decreased durability. #burningriverbushcraft #fyp #bushcraft #survival #saw #foldingsaw #bahco #silkysaw

I worked at a camp that part of the gear issued were silky saws. Not a week went by where one or two broke. I contacted the company about a large replacement blade order. (50-100 new blades). It was cheaper to buy an entirely new saw.

All of the silky fanboys have broken a blade. And I've never even heard of someone breaking a Baco blade. And the silky Fanboys always mention that. For the ever loving life of me I cannot understand why these Fanboys still say the silkies are better. For me, if it's tough enough to actually be used out away from civilization then that's the saw I'm going to want. If I'm an arborist and can afford to buy blades every 8 months or 2 years, then maybe I'll think about a silky. God help those Japanese folks if the laplanders ask themselves why don't we just build a 3 ft long blade.

I have 3 Silkies. My 130 is on its like, 3rd blade. And my Gomboy is on its 4th. Bent, teeth damaged to the point of uselessness, broken...I love them, but im super wary about them.
