Question of the day:
What is the difference between comprehensive and collision coverage?
Hi I'm Jeff Grimm with Lifetime Insurance Services and I'll be right back with the question of the day. Stay tuned...
So the question of the day is...
What is the difference between comprehensive and collision coverage on your auto insurance policy?
In the next 30 seconds I can quickly break that down for you. If you look at comprehensive coverage that falls under things like fire, theft, or vandalism to your vehicle. When you are talking about collision coverage that is colliding with some type of object. Typically another car, it could be a mailbox, it could be a building. Some type of structure. That is going to fall under your collision coverage.
There is one scenario that falls under comprehensive coverage that is confusing to a lot of people and that is if you have a collision with an animal. And even though it is a collision it will actually fall under the comprehensive portion of your Michigan auto insurance policy.
So hopefully that clears things up. If you have any further questions just leave me a comment below. And as always if you are looking to save money on your own personal or business insurance feel free to reach out to us.
Have a great day!
