I've been looking for tutorials on how to create a mod with Mod Constructor and thank goodness I found you! I've updated my Mod Constructor to v.11 now and I'm going to watch all of your tutorials because I want to create Mods like more aspirations and preferences, jobs etc.

That was helpful. I've made a couple very trivial mods already. But it's really a struggle figuring it out. It's almost like people try to keep this information a secret to prevent competition.

My goal is to make a mod that adds default households to the game. I want to override the stock townies with my own custom townies so that every save starts with all my creations. I have successfully added a household with a custom sim to a lot. I even managed a hack that replaced the stock magic sages with custom ones. But I have not yet managed to figure out how to replace buildings.

Thank you for this! I haven't watched them yet, but this appears to be exactly what I was looking for to get me started, since I know nothing about modding to begin with. I've successfully changed a few mods for my own use, but I didn't really know what I was doing, I just got lucky, and of course I'd never share that with anyone since I did it without permission of the original creator. You are awesome!

Hi! Thanks for your tutorials, I'm following them along!
I just wanted to say that if you type a colon after your nickname in the name of any object (snippet, buff, and so on), S4S will automatically change the instance and tuning ID to the hashed name, just as you do it manually. And it does the same with this number in the XML page of this object, so you don't need to change anything and even open the hash generator.

I'm trying to make a bill-free/reduced-bill lot trait/challenge. Thought I'd use the "Frugal" reward trait as a reference and just convert it into a lot trait, but I can't even find anything on the code it uses for me to reference it. I have no idea how to affect the lot's value/bills. I can't figure out anything beyond "It's a lot trait". Please help. :/

11:20 does anybody know how to access the s4 studio settings on mac? cause there is no settings tab at the top for me just File, Edit, Tools, and Content Management
