Russian forces have been slammed heavily by Ukrainian deep strikes, with the only chip manufacturer in Russia suffering serious damage along with a large alcohol distillery. Meanwhile North Korea is mobilizing millions as they have stated that the time for hostile action is now, and South Korea has given an ultimatum to North Korea to withdraw form the Ukraine War. A Russian Il-76 was shot down over Sudan with many government officials onboard killed. Israel is now only mere days away from their attack on Iran according to the Israeli government, and is continuing heavy strikes on Lebanon.

During the Vietnam War, President Lyndon B. Johnson requested the South Korean president to send soldiers to Vietnam. In return, South Korea gained economic aid from the US. Approximately 320, 000 military personnel with an average of 48, 000 per year were sent to Vietnam. Among the foreign countries, South Korea sent the second most soldiers there. The White Horse Division (9th Infantry Division) was one of the multiple South Korean divisions sent.

I agree about the mobilization of the 82nd to South Korea. They are an amazing force and I can say that since I was in the 82nd for 5 years and served with them in Afghanistan (2-505th PIR)!

I'm thinking the situation in Korea may be misconstrued.

NK is shipping the bulk of their forces to Russia (for money and/or technology). They wouldn't do that if they were about to attack the south. I think they destroyed the access points to prevent the south invading while their forces are away.

Also, those forces are being sent to Kursk, as defense where Ukraine is invading... not to Ukraine offensively. That would fit with the actions of a mutual defense alliance.

Would be pretty stupid on NK's part to try and attack a full-force neighbor with the bulk of their own forces unavailable for it.
