Is it weird that even as an experienced player I really adore these new player guides?

Attention new players- its also really important to login during christmas time. The free Luminalia gifts are one of the few persistent items that survive wipes because they're account bound.

I have had star citizen since the crowdfund in like 2011, and never actually played for a while, as the game was always laggy at the start. But recently while playing after a good 15 minutes my game was just butter smooth, and I have learned so much watching your videos. Thank you for all your work, keep it up!

24:27 Attn: New Players. If you don’t have a backpack you can move lootable items into the local section of inventory. The proceed to enter your ship and if it has stowage space, you can transfer the items to your ship from local.

You can buy storage SCU boxes from cargo centers on space stations in 1, 2, 4, or 8 sized boxes for additional storage space.

As a 71 year old veteran gamer I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see your tutorial. Professional doesn’t do it justice. Great job!!

You have to give it to CIG, what they are doing IS impressive although it took them over a decade to get here. Even if they don't succeed, they're setting the tone for future space MMOs. I've been following the development all along, really hoping for this game to become a reality but also staying critical all along and I always hesitated giving them my money. But I have to say, I can see a puzzle slowly coming together. Even if it stays in this tech-demo state, I'm looking forward to have a look at it myself and fly around a bit, and with 3.23 on the way and with the new system, it seems like now is a good time to finally give it a try. Pulled the trigger yesterday and am downloading the files as I'm writing.

Excellent guide, Farrister! And I really like how you added in the part about reporting bugs. This is so important.

Got my pre-built PC coming on Thursday. Can't wait to get into Star Citizen. I've been watching your videos and ship reviews. Thanks for the guide. I signed up and used your referral code. Great channel. Can't wait to join the universe!

As environmental hazards (and the occasional stairs) can cause injuries it might be good for beginning players to include the existance and use of a med pen into the guide. These pens can be purchased at various shops such as pharmacies or found in the various loot crates around the verse. Having at least one of these pens (the red Hemozoral pen helps with bleeding) along is advisable as you never know when an accident may occur. These single use pens can be a real life saver for the player themselves but can also be used to provide aid to other players. When in hand the default settings are left-click to apply to yourself and right-click to apply to another player if you are close enough.

I definitely need to re-watch this. I was completely out of my element when I fired up the game for the first time last night. I immediately died after landing my ship on the outside of a space station and stepping outside without a spacesuit. Then, I crashed into it and tumbled through space until I passed out and ran out of oxygen. Awesome game, will play again 10/10.

Loved this when you released it (old salty vet here), and its still great!
....buuut...

....time for an update!

All these...interesting new keybind choices and systems and HUD changes and Inventory consoles and Hangars and...
...you not only will have me sending new viewers your way as my friends finally bend to my oppressive incessant belligerent recruitment methods (its a stick, a big stick) but I NEED TO KNOW TOO!

So annoyed and confused and lost, help me Farrister One, you are my only hope!

Thank you for this video, I am new to Star Citizen. My friend recently got it and I watched him play it. It has some bugs but it’s not unplayable and is very detailed with lots to do! They are upfront about it being in Alpha and that’s all I ask with games like this. None the less they continue to bring it updates and support it so I’m all for giving it a shot!

You sound like you a feeling better. Glad to hear it. This is a good intro video. If I find another friend that I would like to introduce the game to sending them this video would be super useful. Enjoy the new year and keep doing great work. 👍🏻
