Sheep Farming Vlog: Another Rainy Day!

Today at Ewetopia Farms, it was yet another rainy day on the farm. Luckily, most of our daily jobs are indoors now, but it does mean that our field work is getting farther behind. So today, we take you around on chores and see how the breeding groups are doing. We stop to look at some of our old favorites as we meet them on our rounds. And of course, we update you on all our latest news and views.

Sheep and sheep farming is our passion and we hope that the love we have for what we do is obvious to you the viewers. Our operation is a large scale, registered Suffolk and Poll Dorset sheep farm combining the best of pasture and confinement to manage the flock for maximum comfort, minimal stress, and producing a consistent, very high quality product. Our focus is on providing breeding stock for sale to other sheep producers. All our sheep are treated with the utmost compassion which I think will become evident as you join us on our daily rounds on our working sheep farm in eastern Ontario, Canada.

Love Katie’s peaceful view. 🐑💛 I like watching channels that are about raising animals kindly, not to make barrels of money. Expensive farm toys don’t impress me either, Lynn. I’d rather people spend money doing what’s right and normal for their animals than buying $100k combines. But each to their own. It’s why yours is my favourite sheep channel. ☺️

Good afternoon Arnie and Lynn. Yay. You slept in and you deserved it and more. Kodiak is such a tail wagger and handsome like his dad. Gladiator definitely leaves his mark in the lambs. Love love that your sheep are friendly. Knockout for a new boy is so very nice. Spoiled sheep with their fluffed up hay but they really do like it better. Gladiator is a busy fellow. Boy Leonard is looking good. That is really cool how the diarrhea stops so quick. Must make for better feeling bellies. Fair weathered sheep 😂😂 got to love them. I tell you they really love their grain. Crunchy gold to them. You and Arnie are very inspirational. Love how you guys care for your flock. So loved. Aww. Chewy still looks as cute as ever as does her lamb Cupcake. Big Betty looks like she is enjoying her retirement. The big guys are looking great. Never get tired of seeing them. Good Afternoon Lynn & Arnie. Love to hear the sound of the rain. We haven’t had any in months and it’s so dry now. And still over 100° F days. (108° a few days ago). Send rain please !!!!

Thank you for letting us see the a few of the retired ladies. Like Big Betty. She looks like a cuddler. And Chewy is so sweet!! (Will Chewy be bred again?).

Love to watch the 3 dogs follow Arnie where every he goes. And follow him step for step while he is feeding the sheep. Max, Ben and Katie are awesome collies and great workers.

Agreed I love your Philosophy, I've been wanting to find more farming YouTube channel's to follow and subscribe to, NOT factory farm channels with a bunch of death's that's unusual or homestead's that unnecessarily kill wild animals you have to coexist with wildlife... That's really smart... You've mentioned several times the notable improvements you've made in your Dorsets in recent years--especially in the feet and legs department. So breeding two of your yearling rams to a group of young ewes--both of which underscore the progress you've made--is very, very smart.

Always luv seeing some old familiar faces & seeing tail waging on older sheep like when they were lambs! Been rewatching videos of Kevin/Karen/Roo & just saw Chewie with lil Kupcake!

But when Leonard comes close we get to look into his beautiful luminous eyes… he looks amazing. To be a farmer, you may not need to be rich but you do need to have a healthy back and knees… 😂 You need a young neighbor’s kid who loves fleecy critters and needs a job, like the young lady who works for Sandi.
