Here’s something no one EVER talks about: we know the EXACT ingredients (or at least a bunch of them) required to produce the spooky green mushroom cloud and resulting green goo created by the mushroom bomb.
The Lich-possessed PB uses a very specific laundry list of chemicals and materials (bleach, lighter fluid, ammonia, plutonium, etc.) to create a bathtub full of the green Lich goo and a miniature mushroom bomb mushroom cloud.
I think it’s highly likely that the Lich possessed a human or group of humans (like he did with PB or the Snail) and had them create and use the mushroom bomb to create enough green Lich sauce for him to become incarnate.
I find it unlikely that he possessed a physical form of his OWN pre-mushroom bomb, seeing as we know for a fact that contact with the green Lich goo has the ability to mutate any living creature into a body for the Lich (I.e., farmworld Jake)

its a very interesting theory, but the problem i have with it is that in farm world when the bomb goes off, Jake becomes the Lich after being soaked in the mutagenic goo. if a Lich's reincarnation was alive why wasn't he imbued with the power instead?

Isn’t Sweet P just the result of Billys dead and possessed body being touched by the blood of one of the citadel guardians that reanimates his corpse into a living being again?

It’s almost like if billys body started over from childhood with new regrown flesh.

I think its a pretty cool idea that the lich used to look like sweet pea and that he made the mushroom bomb and I think your idea about him trying to use golbs power is correct because my theory is when he does that speech about how before time there was only monsters I think he wants to destroy everything so there are only monsters like then and gold turns all life into monsters so I think that's why he studies golb

I believe that the true first incarnation of the Lich was a venomous spider, a insect hunter which is what the Blue butterfly is, thought I should point that out.

Personally, i think that theme wise, it would make perfect sense for the lich incarnation during the war to have been the bomb itself. Its a weapon of mass destruction, the worst thing humanity could ever created and therefore a perfect vessel t othe evil of the lich. Its also notable that i nthe farmworld reality, the lich was unable to reincarnate until the bomb exploded.

This is really good. I never thought about other comet reincarnations but this makes sense. The only issue I can think of is that sweetpea and by extension the lich, is only a child as we see sweetpea as an adult in the last episode. So either the being that became the lich was an infant at the time or when they became lich/go splashed by the healing juice, it was some sort of re birth. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it.

Glob had a chaos and death in a breath. The lich had chaos and death breath, theory confirmed!

I think Sweet P is actually what happens if Billy wasn't mutated or if the Lich Incarnated into Billy's Body. That Explains why Sweet P is a giant like Billy, but by the Lich combining with Billy and wearing him, a new being came into existence when the flesh was made, as the Lich can influence the living but does not seem to Incarnate into the living unless influenced by mutagenic essense, which is why he can influence Sweet P, but not possess him as Sweet P's flesh is mutagenic free unlike Billy's and most of OOO.

My theory is that The Lich created the bomb before his death and harnessed his essence within it. When the bomb went off was when he possessed the body we see him in. The Lich isn't worn down, he is literally possessing a corpse

Firstly just want to say, thank you for theorizing on Adventure Time in general. AT has such an amazingly complex and interesting world and I often feel that most people tend to discuss the same generally agreed upon ideas when diving into the lore and we need more people theorizing about the unexplained aspects of the show.

Secondly, a major thing that I thought about after watching this video is the plane shown in Simon's videotapes. It does appear that this plane in general is connected to the mushroom war but one thing I never noticed is the color of it. It appears to be distinctly colored yellow like Jake. If you think about the last episode featuring Farmworld where The Lich's hand (while he is possessing Farmworld Jake) is cut off and seemingly sent into every universe in the multiverse, it almost seems that this plane could very well be The Lich, potentially even utilizing Jake's well-known stretching powers to become disguised as a plane. There are some things that could point against this such as Jake commenting specifically that he could not turn into a plane on at least one occasion, Farmworld Jake lacking the powers of the Jake we are used to seeing, and The Lich's hand from Farmworld showing up in our main universe once already and being defeated by Sweet Pea, however due to the general nature of The Lich there is no reason to believe that he is limited from hopping universes and this makes me wonder if the act of sending The Lich's hand throughout the entire multiverse is a paradox that consistently ensures his seemingly infinite existence. This is definitely a stretch but it does seem the AT writers were constantly thinking ahead about the nature of the AT reality well before the show dived deeper into these concepts. Just an observation, again, awesome vid!

Been binging your videos, I really love your work, and sometimes you sound like Prismo, and now I’m seeing you’re missing a tooth like Finn and that is just so fitting and rad, keep up the good work! Always gonna look forward to new videos even if they’re not about Adventure Time.

I would like to see a what if universe where the Human Incarnation of the Elementals stop the Mushroom War, defeat the Lich, and save the world.

I agree with some of the video exept with the part of the lich coming from the mushroom bomb, the lich like fin came to the world in a comet, the body which the lich is using when we meet him is just another re-encarnation, sweet p is what the lich looked like before he progressed with his magic to the point of being just a skeleton, possibly before the bomb went off and he was affected by it

People seem to take "last scholar of Golb" too literally. It doesn't necessarily mean that his scholars share the same objectives as himself. In fact, Golb doesn't seem to have an objective and, if we're to believe that he's the embodiment of chaos, then it doesn't make sense that he has one.

Also, I'm not sure about your theory that the Lich was a politician or a human for that matter. Lich does not have a physical body; rather, he possesses other beings while always maintaining the signature worn skull. So, judging by the size of the first body we see him inhabiting, which dwarfed Finn in its normal state (right after it broke out of the amber seal), I'd say it did not belong to a human.

All in all, I think what the show was going for is that the mutagenic bomb was so evil it managed to capture the escence of Lich.

Cómo es que Adventure Time se vuelve cada vez más terrorífico y genial al mismo tiempo!

I have a theory that possibly a government or a military used the accents of the comet of the Lich and the made it into the mushroom bomb for a powerful bomb to take out any enemies amd civilians.

Possibly Sweet Pea was the victim of the bomb and became mutated from it and possibly how the Lich was born. So who knows how the military made the comment as a bomb, hopefully for a new Adventure Time series or special we'll find out.

All we know is the military is the reason for the Lich to be born and set the Lich's plan in motion.
