I too recently arrived at the full Pret! I could never understand why in Exodus the generation that doubted would not enter the promise land. This generation will wander in the desert until all had perished, only Joshua and Caleb would go into the land. Jesse also say this generation will not pass away until the judgment comes. Why would the writers be thinking about future generations? This is about the breaking of the covenant by the leaders. They will be judged. Christ will come again the judge the living and the dead of that covenant and then the new spiritual kingdom can advance with no temple no priest, no sacrifices. This is us working it out today. When will the end come? Until all his enemies are under his feet? Yes, it looks crazy bad right now. But whose fault is it? The church has given itself over to capitalism/ consumerism/ individualism, Scientism. If we would turn back to him, the kingdom will advance again. Only ourselves to blame.

In talking to Christian friends of mine, it is the hardest thing to help them understand the concept of the true Is_ael of God, made up of Jew and Gentile believers, and that the modern state of Is_ael isn’t operative today as the holy land. Makes complete sense, then, that New Jerusalem also refers to the same believers of the true Is_ael of God as opposed to old physical Jerusalem and that we are the temple of God and a new 3rd temple isn’t coming. Gosh, I’m just thankful that God has revealed these truths to me because I, too, believed all futurism teachings and dispensationalism for 50+ years! Thanks for all you do!

Earth has become sick, and the love that is growing is healing, but it will take some time.
My story started in 1981, and would take a long write, and typing with one finger would take time.

Thought i was left behind 27 years. That Jesus had already come. So i rushed home to save family and friends because 1983 we would be free.

So the world just goes on like this forever? Things are definitely not getting better, they are getting worse. I don’t believe in a rapture and still confused about what happened after 70AD, but full preterism seems rather depressing. An endless cycle where evil and wickedness reign indefinitely.

And what about Revelation 20:14: “And death, and hell were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.” And again in chapter 21: 4 …”and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, neither crying, neither shall there be anymore pain.” Death is still here. I don’t get how that and the Great White Throne judgement factor into this.

According to full preterist view Our Father in heaven and King Jesus Christ allows evil to reign over the new earth . 😢. I don't believe that. No more tears no more pain no more death. That is what the word of God says. ❤

John the revelator describes new Jerusalem very much in detail, with gates and walls and even measurements (12, 000 stadia)he angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick, how can this be spiritual only? I mean this city is described as a massive treasure full of gold and jewels just amazing. The only thing I can think of if this already happened is that we are the people outside the city, which is not very heartening for believers at this time.

Shelly thank you for this interview. The thought that I (we) could be the new Jerusalem never occurred to me. Yes please have paster Joel on again. I dont know the questions to ask but I gain more understanding just by listening and keeping an open mind. I too grew up with the Left Behind teaching and have been waiting for the second coming.

I’m new to preterism, and already it’s making a lot more sense than dispensationalism (where I spent more than 50 years of my adult life). I was excited to hear Pastor Joel’s explanation of the ‘sea’. While reading Exodus some time ago, I read about the ‘bronze laver’ where the priests did their ceremonial washing before entering the Holy of Holies. It was also called the ‘Sea’. Jesus is our Sea, He washed us with His blood, and we can come boldly before the throne. But when I shared this with some preterist friends, they said I was wrong. Thank you, Pastor Joel.
I still have questions about this being the New Heavens and the New Earth, I must admit it’s very disappointing news. But, bit by bit the pieces are beginning to come together. Jesus did say in Luke 17:20-21 that “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:” So, I’ll be working on that one. Keep these videos coming, Shelly, between you, Pastor Joel, Bible Scribe, and a couple others, things are clearing up. ~ Oh, I am also reading David Chilton’s book “The Days of Vengeance” – (411 pages in 😉)

If us believers are new Jerusalem then we wouldn't have tears and pain and death. There's no good explanation for this.
