2:00 Most people think that water is a very good electrical conductor, but in fact it isn't a very good one.
It's the particles like minerals, debri etc... in the water, that lowers down the electrical resistance.
This is also one of the reasons that it's adviseable, to use only "demineralised water" to use in acid-lead batteries, to keep the electrical resistance as high as possible, to minimize self-discharge.

Very nice settup. But the UV filter makes not much sense considering if they are serious about the water filtration quality it should have a Hollow Fiber Filter module. UV exposure isn't long enough, and if you have a power issue or a bulb issue. you just allowed all that nasty stuff to enter your lab.

Can you give me more information on your recirculation loop? I'm researching RO/DI systems and would like to use the resistivity to shut off the outlet, but I know that these resistivity sensors need constant flow to have an accurate measurement.
