Agreed. Never purchased "RV" toilet paper. We use what we use at home. I think clogs happen because people don't use enough water in the black tank. Water, water, water is the solution. I use black tank chemicals for odor and to break down human waste so it evacuates from the tank. We keep plenty of water in the tank and use plenty to flush. I flush the tank multiples times when I dump and use the internal spray in the black tank. Never had a clog and my sensors work.

the only problem for “septic safe” would be a evasive amount of chemicals in the paper.
but what does a septic safe tp have to do with a rv holding tank?

holding tanks and septic systems are not the same thing.

I have been saying the same thing for years. We have used the Costco Kirkland brand in our RV for years. Same as what we use at home.

We buy Sam’s members mark toilet paper. Use it at home and in the RV.

More important is HOW MUCH QUANTITY uses-- learn how to take 3-5 sheets folded flat.Several times if necessary. Do a jar test: several jars with cups of water each; few sheets of each paper; stir with a spoon for an equal count-- you will have your answer as to what breaks up and what clumps✅🧻🚽🚾🪠

We use the Scott's 1000 sheets toliet paper in the house and camper and have had no trouble and it breaks my down in just plain water

It's not that simple. Home septic systems have a longer time to break down paper. It's not if the drain is big enough it's if the paper breaks down fast enough and doesn't stick to the tank walls. That's why your sensors stop working. I don't use RV toilet paper but I do use one ply like Scott's 1000.

I’m trying to get into a lot where this guy just owns it with his family. He only has one sewer line, so he hast to come around and pump out the rest of the land sewer manually. What I’m wondering is, he’s telling me that he cannot have toilet paper in any septic system. He said that the toilet paper would swell up and turn into a basketball and you have to clean out your septic system and that would cost you $3000. Is he telling the truth?
