How to unlock new SECRET Survivor in Risk of Rain 2 Seekers DLC (False Son)

step 1) gold portal (take blue portals and check seers to guarantee it)
step 2) green portal (halcyon altar every stage 1 tileset. may spawn on other stages, too)
step 3) kill false son boss (gl lol)

Just wanna let you guys know as well that there are multiple stages of the green portal and that one of them is actually INSANE as far as loot goes.

I ended up getting 3 halcyon seeds thinking that aurelionite was going to do the damage, ended up killing a 3x hp 2x dmg aurelionite instead before false sun

You can also do two Halcyon Shrines for easy access to Gilded Coast. After going in a green portal and entering the new stages, finding another Halcyon Shrine there will spawn a gold portal once you complete it.

I have done a few runs with this character, and i gotta say he is very fun personally, he is a 'melee' survivor, but i’d say that due to one of his abilities in particular he is by no means weak at range, if anything that’s he’s at his strongest

Ok so anyone else have a weird glitch where they don't get the secret survivor achivement even with the seed and the aurelianite spawns as an enemy instead?

i hate this so much, i've done so many stages and loops and not a single golden statue

I activated artifact of command, swarm, sacrifice, and kin, and speedran this achievement in like 30 minutes. The false son talked a lot of shit for someone within GOTD + royal capacitor distance

0:24 the green portal also spawns after defeating Aurelionite

easeir way to find yellow portal is not fill up the Halcyon shrine all the way and pray to it again. I did that unintentionally and the elite spawned anyway. After I killed him a yellow portal spawned in instead of a green one. After I beat the Aurelionite both a yellow and green portal spawned in. (Found Halcyon shrine during stage 6 so I'm not sure if you have to loop to do this or not).

There’s a pretty high chance that when you get to stage 5 there with be a haleycon shrine that will take you to gilded coast instead of the new stages

I did this on console it didn’t work I even offered the seed for the artifact of rebirth

Just did a couple of rotations of tile set for area 1 and did not get a halcyeon shrine. Not sure it's guaranteed

I can’t wait get the dlc on Xbox and play it. I sure hope they didn’t leave in a big that makes your game UNPLAYABLE on release. Nah, that would be too crazy.

I wish it wasn’t so luck-based to get a gold portal before stage 4. I like the False Son runs because they’re short, having to loop to find a gold portal before I can fight him is just inconvenient.
