My girlfriend and I were going for a remote lake and were off trail in a swampy area about 7-8 miles out near the Pilchuck river area in Washington state. We were looking for Echo Lake. We stopped for lunch in the shade of an old growth cedar grove, and we noticed the birds, bugs and frogs going off wildly in a forest chorus...after about 10 minutes, we suddenly noticed the forest went 'pin drop quiet'. We commented on it. A minute after noticing, a large basketball sized boulder landed about 8ft away from us that came down from a 10 ft arc from behind a huge cedar tree. There was no sound and it was as if someone had it up high on one hand and lightly lobed it at us. It was so big it was clear a human would have trouble lifting it - let alone throw it from 10 feet up. We freaked out - we were out of there instantly grabbed our stuff and ran back the way we came in.
No smell of any kind was noticed, and we didnt see anything. It was a old growth Cedar grove on the top of a flat plateau heavy with forest duff - very spongy.. Not the place you find large loose rounded stones.No loose stones could come from above as we were the high ground anyways. It appeared to be from about apx 10 ft away, but there were so many big trees 3-4ft wide it was all old growth cedars deep in the forest, it was hard to tell the exact spot except the general direction it came from - again, we didnt stay to study the situation! If you have ever gone into to the deep remote areas of the west cascades you know - it really should be called the 'cascade jungle' - it really is that heavy with vegetation.
As an ex Cali (90s) Dept of Fish & Game biological field scientist - not to mention having alot of hardcore backcountry experience (35+yrs) in every major Western US mountain range and have seen and heard lots of extremely strange and odd things in the woods - I just couldnt come up with a reasonable explanation. After the situation and reflecting, I thought it must have been some type of booby trap for a secret cabin or meth lab/marijuana plot but after some thought it just didnt really make sense...someone sets a booby trap 8 miles out in a rugged swampy area where not many - if any people will ever go? If it was weed or meth lab in late August you would smell it a mile away. A few months later I stumbled onto evidence that many people have Sasquatch encounters in that exact area and have reported being 'bouldered' out of the area ..anyways thats what happened to us.

I've always believed that Bigfoot exists. I wanted to see one in person until I heard one(?). My husband Andi were camping right up against a wilderness zone. Something screamed in the wilderness area. That wasn't so bad. Kind of exciting. A very few minutes later there was another scream that was significantly closer! Anything that had lungs that big had to be huge. I no longer want to see one, but I now know they are very real. The one where the figure was just standing there watching was the scariest, by far.

Love the Hudson Valley Bigfoot. All the clips of Bigfoots carrying baby Sasquatch are difficult ti discern. They blend in so well. You’re mistaken about NY state. There is an absolute enormous amount of woods. Some famous sightings as well including in Whitehall NY upstate near the Vermont border.

Hello. I am from New York, and we have vast forests and rolling hills this way: NYS, anyway. NYC is an island city, but NYS has impressive scenery, especially in autumn. Good stuff on the Bigfoot footage. Hands down the coolest of the Cryptids.
