President's Leadership Lecture: Leadership and Action in Global Health

Professor John Meara gives a strategic overview of the current situation in global surgery. Prof Meara is Kletjian Professor of Global Surgery in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change within the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

John is also the Co-Chair for the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery, an initiative focused on improving global health by increasing access to safe and affordable surgery in the world’s poorest regions.
