Now available: Commander in chief from 1993 to 2001, Bill Clinton has spent a lifetime navigating complex challenges and bridging deep divides. Now the 42nd president of the United States teaches you how to be an effective, empathetic leader. Starting today, learn how to assemble, inspire, and empower diverse teams, mediate conflict, manage criticism—and create a personal framework to guide you and your team toward a shared vision.

MasterClass Presents: The White House

In this groundbreaking series, walk the corridors of power and gain unprecedented access to global political leaders. For the first time ever, learn leadership, resilience, decision-making, diplomacy, and more from changemakers on both sides of the aisle: former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton; President Bill Clinton; President George W. Bush with former First Lady Laura Bush; former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Born William Jefferson Blythe III in Hope, Arkansas, Bill Clinton’s rise from Arkansas governor to world leader heralded a period of prosperity that would become the United States’ longest peacetime economic expansion. Educated at Georgetown, Oxford, and Yale Law School, he entered state politics with a successful run for Arkansas attorney general in 1976. Two years later, at age 32, he became the youngest governor in the country.

During his two terms as U.S. president, his administration helped bring about a stock-market surge, low unemployment, historically high homeownership levels, and a balanced federal budget for the first time in 30 years. His foreign policy efforts included work to end ethnic conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina; attempts to resolve disputes between Palestinians and Israelis, including a historic agreement in the Gaza Strip; and a successful negotiation to free two U.S. citizens from North Korea—a story he details in his new class.

Now you can learn from the challenges and triumphs of President Clinton’s career, before, during, and after his experiences in the Oval Office. Assemble, inspire, and empower diverse people, and gain the tools to define and achieve a shared vision with the 42nd president of the United States.

When I was in high school I was campaigning for President Clinton. It was a bit of a buck because my family was Reagan and into Bush… as I’ve grown older and have understood more dynamics of the world. I still really like Clinton. But, my respect for HW and the Bush family is very very large. The transitions and realities. I can only imagine.

When I was a freshman, me and some of my older senior friends skipped school to go see Mandela speak on the New York City Capital.

It’s funny how various pieces of information and learnings arise in your mind over time.

Leadership and time and space… All hands and WE got this set of decks and confluence of bettering…. I’m very grateful for so many people, President Clinton being one of them.

January 20th, 1993 is notable for a couple of reasons. On a sad note, it was the day Audrey Hepburn passed away, but on a happy note, it was also the day Bill Clinton became U.S. President.

I voted for him the first time and didn't the second. But I think this is the video that has convinced me to plunk down the money for Masterclass.

I'm Darryl Brooks, and I approve this message.
