Pinnacle Studio: Video Speed and Editing Tutorial

new to this software thanks for this bit of info but is it possible to speed up just sections not the whole video. yes super newbie to editing here. would it be u split each section speed up the ones you want and then put them back together with fades or something ? :S

When i add the speed effect it only speeds up the audio not the video so consequently it cuts a bit of the video towards the end when the audio ends

When I try to increase the speed of my clips I simply get a black background with a flashing blue ball on it... any info on how to fix this would be appreciated

I had the same problem of the program using the speed option on the wrong clip, and clearing the auxiliary files didn't help. I eventually made the clip I wanted into its own MP4 and uploaded that new file into Pinnacle, and it worked. Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks for your great tutorials. I am having trouble with slowing down my clips. I am doing it the way you outlined but it doesn't work right, kind of like some of the comments to your video, like from seed419 and Mr963291 and many others. Do you have some cure or suggestion?
