Trudeau revokes Emergencies Act after police declare Ottawa cleared of protesters | FULL

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is revoking the Emergencies Act after 10 days that have seen police crack down to clear out hundreds of demonstrators with the so-called “Freedom Convoy” that had encamped in the nation’s capital for three weeks.

Trudeau made the announcement to end the use of the emergency powers at a press conference on Wednesday.

“Today, after careful consideration, we’re ready to confirm that the situation is no longer an emergency,” he said. “Therefore, the federal government will be ending the use of the Emergencies Act.”

Trudeau said the government was confident that the existing laws and bylaws were now sufficient to keep Canadians safe.

Tamara Lich, one of the organizers of the convoy, will remain behind bars after an Ottawa judge denied her bail. Lich was arrested on Thursday evening as law enforcement in Ottawa began a major push that lasted through the weekend to clear out the convoy blockade.

Let's be frank, Trudeau revoked the act for several PRIMARY reasons. 1. Some police officers donated to the convoy so an investigation would have to be automatically started and this would undermine the confidence of national, municipal, and provincial security. 2. The Senate challenged the Liberal leaders to documentation which they could not produce and the Senate deemed the use of this act as a violation 3. This overreach would also allow banks to identify scandals like WE AND SNC Lavalin along with other Liberals who hands were in the corrupt cookie jar. Don't be fooled folks. This was not a coincidence. ALSO keep in mind, the reason Peter Sloly resigned was because JIM WATSON went and spoke to the truckers behind his back. I would feel undermined too. Jim Watson should also resign.

My own personal opinion he essentially declared war on Canadians that simply wanted their guaranteed freedoms back . I feel that a politician violating Supreme law should be held accountable just like any other person or business . Covid really tought me the legal system no longer cares for the individual and that is very alarming .
