Why did he suspend parliament on Friday to debate and vote? There was no vote and he still invoked martial law on downtown Ottawa. I'm an independent voter, but after this I know one party I'll never vote for again.

Ok, Let me get this straight.
-The Police seize my account.
-In order to get it released I have to go and talk to the police and give up my right to remain silent.
-I have to prove to them I am Innocent before they will release my money.
-If they don't agree with me they will hold my account and use what I said against me.
-Since I have no access to my money I have to do all this without a Lawyer. Since I can afford a Lawyer one will not be provided to me.

Unbelievable that our country is ok with allowing the government the power to freeze money that is legally earned...scary times, i hope liberal and ndp voters can look at this critically and ask themselves if this is what they see as a "free" country. My question is now that the protesters have been removed, will the government rescind the Emergencies Act or, will they continue to abuse to abuse this power. This party has already openly stated that they will use the pandemic for their political advantage. What ever happened to the government of Canada actually using their power for the betterment of the country and its citizens rather than serving itself.

In 2020 Trudeau said, re: India's Farmers' Protests, part of which was tractors and trucks blocking highways all over the country:

“Canada will always stand up for the right of peaceful protest anywhere around the world. And we’re pleased to see moves toward de-escalation and dialogue, ”

In 2022 he clarified that it's "anywhere around the world" except in our own country.
