Oklahoma sheriff's deputy shot, killed while serving order

One deputy was shot and a second deputy was hit while trying to get the first out of the way of gunfire, an emotional Sheriff Tommie Johnson III said during a press conference.

I live in Oklahoma City & Sheriff Tommie Johnson is a wonderful man. He truly cares about his Deputies. He & The gentlemen who does the PR had just been notified that Deputy Swartz had passed. He & others never need to apologize for showing emotion. It’s been a rough week for law enforcement here.

I unfortunately have had to experience a lockout and the deputy or sheriff was so kind to me and my child it was just unimaginable to be mad at this guy. Their job is to SERVE and protect and this has gotta be one of the most routine things that they do. RIP to these officers and thank you for your service to all officers and military personnel

My heart aches for Sheriff Tommie Johnson. It must have been more than traumatizing to lose deputies. The two deputies that lost their lives serving simple papers did not deserve to be killed.
