Android 16 is going to be the last version for this.
And Android updates don't matter. Software support on Android is extremely long. My Android 9 Zenfone can still run everything that I run on my Android 13 S20FE 5G.

Hmmm I am writing this comment with my 2 year old S21+ and the battery has become so bad I habe to charge it for a half an hour to an hour im the afternoon. I will blame this on the Exynos processor for the european version of my phone but tbh I regret changing my old Mi 9 for this. I have just bought a OnePlus 12 as a replacement and cannot wait to make the S21+ my work phone to replace the A32 my company gave me.

I have att....I could get a brand phone tomorrow, but it 2, 3 year contract. The thought of having the same phone for 2, 3 Nope... Unlocked phones on Amazon, get an s21 plus for like 220 bucks. Change phones 2, 3 times a year. And you can still use the old ones inside your house.😊
