In the 1970s, 500 HP was rare and considered an insane amount of power for a street car. I mean a high end factory car would be something like the 327, 350 HP with a huge 4 bbl carb and "oversized" valves.

500hp is more than enough for 99%, if not 99.9%, of car owners out there. I think auto makers should direct their efforts and budgets to improvements with more marginal effect, such as comfort/luxury features and OS user friendliness. Safety and repair economy are two other things that I’d put ahead of sheer crazy power. 500hp is more than enough, again! Stop this madness for more power. The world/drivers are not fit for more powers.

BYD up till now hasn’t had a large SUV capable of carrying 7 people in comfort. The previous Tang was quite small and relatively budget compared to the large electric SUVs like the Li auto L9. BYD are about 2 years behind other manufacturers.
