While I do like this addition it doesn't feel the same as with dl1, in dl1 the weapon would bounce off or embed itself into the target as defined by the weapon, now it just fucks off to narnia with no reason as to how far it goes past the target

That's always like that, Techland always going 2 steps ahead of themselves and 1 step backwards. They just did an amazing job with Nights and even more amazing job with Parkour, basically a whole damn game changer happend.

But Weapon Throwing and binds for special attacks failed. Not entirely, but feels like it. In DL1 it was realistic: Blunt weapons bounced off enemies, Sharp weapons was cutting through enemies or sticking inside(you can clearly see it on Rais's men if they're not deflecting projectiles).

What they could've done(or do later) to make this skill actually good:
1) All weapons has their weight, flying speed and type of damage.
2) Heavy Weapons(two-handed) should have their own unique throwing animation with delay(because throwing heavy things is harder).
3) Increasing the distance on which you can pick up Dropped(by you) or Thrown weapons. Or Glow Up thrown items while using Survivor Sense (glow up like enemies do, as a whole)
4) Each Thrown weapon should be Gore-Supported. By that I mean, cleavers are better at chopping off limbs, so if you'll throw a high-level cleaver at someone's limb, it'll be chopped off.
Thrown axes could chop heads in a half, do you remember DL1 zombie with "Clicker" upgrade for weapon? That kind of thing with happen with your enemy.
Same for effects, on each weapon it works differently then thrown, for example, Sharp weapon will most likely stick inside of an enemy, so he'll be receiving lots of damage by the effect on this weapon, but that'll work ONLY for one enemy. Blunt weapons however, will bounce off that enemy and will do a middle/low effect for enemies in some radius.
5) Just got another thought — Thrown weapons with different effects must interact with the environment. For another example, weapons with fire effects could trigger oil liquids on the ground to start burning, Electricity effect weapons will trigger water to galvanized and etc.
Edit: 6) Thrown heavy Two-Handed weapons *cannot be deflected, * only dodged. That shit in DL1 always did make me questioning, how one Rais's man can deflect a hugeass Axe by one wrist move.



Sorry for English, especially sorry for writing THIS much(as if anyone will ever read this till the end), I'm just having so many ideas on how to improve things, but I just can't do them myself...

Wish itd be a different button prompt tho because when your trying to use your survivor sense to see where all the enemies are and where they’re coming from, instead you end up throwing your weapon, it is beyond annoying!

Is it just me or did they buff volatile health by like 10x since the update? Now need dozens of crossbow bolts of 997 damage to kill them.
